A local authority has said it is seeking "high-quality, ambitious ideas" from developers about a seafront site.
Thanet District Council is inviting proposals to redevelop land at the Marina Car Park 3 on Marina Esplanade in Ramsgate, Kent.
The authority said it wanted to get the "best value for local taxpayers while supporting high-quality improvement projects along the coast".
Councillor Ruth Duckworth described the site near the Royal Harbour as a "wonderful seafront location", adding that it was "currently underused".
She said: "We are keeping an open mind on what could go here – whether that means a hotel, shops, or sports and leisure spaces.
"This site offers an exciting opportunity to boost our local economy and build on the momentum we're already seeing in Ramsgate.
"We want to hear high-quality, ambitious ideas from developers who share our vision for the area. I encourage interested parties to look at the details and submit their proposals."
Any money made from selling the site would be reinvested into council buildings and property "that support vital services in Thanet," Duckworth added.
The council said the site, which covers approximately one acre along the Eastern Undercliff, is one of the largest remaining unbroken seafront locations in the area.
