Several homes have been evacuated in a village in Nottinghamshire after a suspicious package was discovered outside a property.
Nottinghamshire Police said it was called to an address in Westdale Road in Jacksdale at about 07:50 BST on Thursday.
The force said "out of caution" nearby properties were evacuated while explosive ordinance disposal engineers carried out further investigations.
Officers said residents affected by the evacuation could go to Jacksdale Garden Centre, which has been made available as a place of safety.
A force spokesperson said: "We'd like to thank local residents for their co-operation and assure them that we are working to resolve the situation as efficiently and safely as possible."
