Former Bristol City midfielder Lee Tomlin has joined Steve Evans' coaching staff at rivals Bristol Rovers.
Tomlin arrives at the Memorial Stadium having most recently worked as assistant manager at National League side Morecambe, where he was appointed joint caretaker managerfollowing the sacking of Ashvir Singh Johal, in January.
The 37-year-old made 585 appearances in a career spanning 17 years at 12 clubs including Peterborough, Middlesbrough, Cardiff City, Nottingham Forest and Doncaster Rovers.
Tomlin scored 13 goals in 60 appearances for City from 2016-17 after arriving initially on loan from Bournemouth before signing a permanent deal.
"I've known the gaffer for 20 years, and I know he's a born winner," Tomlin said.
"His record speaks for itself, so for me to come in and be part of this group, it's a real privilege."
Rovers are 15th in League Two after a run of one win in eight games and travel to Fleetwood Town on Saturday (15:00 GMT).
