Newcastle defender and goalscorer Dan Burn reflecting on the Carabao Cup defeat atEverton:"That was our best chance to win silverware. Very, very disappointed. I thought we played pretty well in large parts of it.
"Everton didn't do too much to score goals - they came from our mistakes and we were not ruthless enough.
"In the second half, when you are on top and dominating, to then concede a goal from a simple pass is frustrating. If we did tonight the things we did againstCrystal Palace, it would have been a different game. We know we have a chance to make it right on Monday.
"It's not for lack of effort from the lads - it's the moments when you have to be clinical, attacking and defending. We're not doing either of them well enough, away from home especially.
"I can understand frustrations completely. We know it was a huge opportunity for us."
