While many have been clamoring for AMD to up the Athlon FSB to 333 MHz, they seemed to be pinning hopes on a modified core in Barton and play the waiting game till Hammer. That may have changed. AMD MBreportedon Tuesday that AMD labs are looking into tweaking the Thoroughbred core for use at 333 MHz FSB. Mike Magee atThe Inquirerhad sources tell him theywillproduce XPs with a 333 MHz FSB. Of course there is no word when these tweaked processors may be available.
