Introduction and Disclaimer
Five months after publication of the original Celeron FAQ, it’s time for an update. I have to admit that the FAQ has achieved popularity far beyond my expectations. Rather than try to make additions to the original FAQ, I’ve decided to create a second part incorporating additional information that has been requested and made necessary by new developments in the Celeron community. The original FAQ is still quite useful and I’ve tried not to duplicate too much of the information from Part 1. For clarity, some repetition was necessary. Hopefully, the new information contained here will permit even more success for those intent on squeezing the utmost from their systems.
Most of the information contained here was gleaned from Newsgroups, web pages and my own experience as an electronics technician for the last 27 years. I wish to thank all the people who unwittingly contributed by posting their experiences and especially those who offered suggestions and constructive criticism via email. I couldn’t have done it without you.
This FAQ, and the original Celeron Overclocking FAQ, may be freely distributed and/or published on the Internet provided no changes are made to the content and that credit is properly attributed (leave my name on it!). I appreciate being notified if you do post the FAQ on your site so I can let you know about any future revisions. Minor formatting changes, such as translation to a foreign language (the original has been translated to Chinese, thank you XHP and Mr. Huang), adding HTML tags, adding background graphics or reformatting tables, are permitted.
