Flat panel supplies, and hence prices, are expected tostay tight this yearbecause manufacturers simply cannot meet demand. LG Philips and Samsung are both in the process of building and ramping up "fifth generation" plants that will almost double their production capacity, but the effects on the supply chain probably won’t be felt until the middle of next year.
