Leisure Travel Vans has introduced the Wonder FX, a compact motorhome measuring just under 25 feet. Built on a Ford Transit chassis, the vehicle updates a layout first used on the company’s Unity FX model a decade ago.
The design alters theinterior configurationbetween day and night. It incorporates updated furniture, expanded storage, aredesigned kitchenand bathroom, and two distinct living zones.
“The FX has always been about making a compact motorhome feel flexible,”saidDean Corrigal, Territory Sales Manager at LTV.
“With the Wonder FX, we had the opportunity to revisit every part of that experience—from the galley and bathroom to the rear lounge and storage—and make it even more comfortable, useful, and adaptable to how people travel today.”
A Ford Transit chassis powers the vehicle
The vehicle runs on a Ford Transit 350 Cutaway chassis. It is powered by a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 petrol engine producing 310 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. It is fitted with a 10-speed automatic gearbox and is available with all-wheel drive. Standard cab equipment includes a 12-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, aluminum wheels, and driver-assistance safety systems.
Front lounge converts into a bedroom
The front section houses a lounge with two power-reclining seats, an adjustable dining table, and a large side window. Both cab seats rotate to face inward and expand the seating capacity. At night, a 65-inch by 74-inch Murphy bed folds down directly over the reclining chairs. During the day, it stows upright against the wall to clear floor space.
Kitchen area offers practical storage solutions
Storage begins at the entryway with a hanging wardrobe built into the door-side cabinet for coats and travel gear. Alongside it sits the redesigned kitchen. It includes a square stainless-steel sink with a pull-down tap, a two-burner induction hob, and a 12-volt compressor fridge. Drawers offer full-extension access, and a folding countertop extension adds preparation space when required, alongside a wall cubby with an integrated spice rack.
Adjustable door expands the central washroom
The central washroom contains a separate shower, toilet, and an oval vanity sink with built-in storage drawers and shelves. It features an operable window for ventilation and daylight. A two-position partition door expands the bathroom enclosure into the hallway when occupied. When not in use, the door retracts to leave the central aisle unobstructed.
Separate rear lounge provides secondary seating
At the rear, the standard layout includes a secondary living room separated from the front cab. It features a sectional sofa with two under-seat storage drawers, a Lagun-mounted swivel table, and an optional television with a soundbar. Owners can also add an optional second table that mounts between the front cab seats.
Buyers can choose an optional mobile office
Buyers can replace the rear sofa with a dedicated workspace. This alternative layout includes a corner desk, integrated drawers, overhead storage cupboards, and room for an office chair. The space has dedicated lighting and windows on two sides. As a result, one person can work in the back while another uses the front lounge.
Modern Truma systems control the cabin climate
Interior temperatures are managed by two Truma climate systems. A roof-mounted Truma Aventa Eco air conditioner provides cooling and mild heating via an integrated heat pump. It uses soft-start electronics so it can run directly off the leisure batteries. For colder weather, a Truma VarioHeat gas furnace distributes warm air across the cabin through a four-point duct network.
