You know what they say about people who throw stones… Fromthis News.com article:

The president of media giant News Corp. warns that the Internet has become a “moral-free zone,” with the medium’s future threatened by pornography, spam and rampant piracy.

That’s funny that he should say that, because you could actually say the same thing about the mainstream media. It’s overrun with intrusive advertising, the vast majority of it designed to cash in on the sexually objectified bodies of both men and women. And then there’s the rampant piracy, which has been a staple of Big Media since way before Elvis’s songwriters ripped off all those blues artists. I’m sorry, but I don’t really trust the same guys who gave us “Freddy Got Fingered” to save me from myself. Of course, it is true that on the face of it there seems to be little in the mainstream media that equals the worst that the ‘net has to offer, but that’s only because Big Media doesn’t allow the extreme lows that the ‘net does. (And it only rarely allows the extreme highs.)
