A1 closed as police examine 'suspicious vehicle'

Part of the A1M in Cambridgeshire has been closed in both directions with a cordon in place in the area as police deal with a "suspicious vehicle".

Police said the vehicle was in the Glatton area - north of Sawtry - and specialist officers were at the scene.

A 400m cordon has been put in place as a precaution, they said.

Surrounding roads have been shut, including the A1M in both directions between Brampton and Haddon. Motorists are being advised to avoid the area.
