The M270A2 combines tank-like mobility with long-range precision fires. Carrying 12 rockets and capable of launching ER GMLRS, it can strike deep and quickly relocate.

The M270A2 MLRS is America’s upgraded tracked rocket launcher, combining heavy armor, mobility and long-range precision fires. It can carry 12 rockets, launch GMLRS rounds beyond 70 kilometers, and use Extended-Range GMLRS for strikes out to around 150 kilometers. The A2 upgrade adds a modern fire-control system, improved crew protection and upgraded components, while future weapons will push its capabilities even further on the modern battlefield.
